Olympic Winter Games Will Benefit B.C.

In my opinion the Olympic Winter Games will significantly be beneficial to B.C.'s economy. With B.C. hosting such a popular and major event tourism will be through the roof. Tourists will spend lots of money increasing the economies finances. People will want to spectate the hundreds of professional athletes that will be competing.

The hundreds of thousands of people who attend the games will most likely enjoy themselves enough to pass it on to friends or family at home to come visit B.C. This will eventually make B.C. a huge tourist attraction. Also there will be available employment which will have a huge impact on or economy because the economy is in such rough shape right now. Also B.C's population at this time will be astonishing. There will be lots of party goers that may cause some problems.

After the games end there will be all this apparatus that will still be erected. These structures can be further used for training and practice in order for Canada to increase there chances of winning the Gold. In conclusion having the Winter Games coming to B.C. will bring financial aid and tourism that will eventually lead to making our economy more stable and healthy.

10 Things To Do When The Electricity Goes Out

It is very depressing when the electricity goes out. The people today have become so reliant on technology that runs on electricity that they have absolutely no idea what to do with themselves when this problem occurs.

1. Light a few candles and reminisce about life. The key aspect in a strong and loving household is without a doubt communication.

2. Play a board game with loved ones. Monopoly, Checkers even twister if your feeling loose and limber.

3. If its during the day, go outside and enjoy the sun. Toss a baseball around or maybe even hit the links (golf).

4. If your feeling fatigued, take a nap or possibly hit the hay for the night. You can never have too much sleep.

5. Get in your car and go to a movie/ go out for dinner with a soul mate, again which could lead to reminiscing about interesting topics eventually strengthening your relationship with one another.

6. Or, if your in the mood, you could exchange ghost stories. Might not be a good idea if you have young children around, this can cause them to stay up all night scared preventing you precious sleep.

7. If your feeling hungry, roasting smores over a candle could be a legit possibility. Or if you want to spice things up get some hot dogs or cheese filled smokies goin' over the candle.

8. If your in the adventurous mood you may consider going for a hike or long nature walk. You are now able to get exercise and enjoy the scenery all at once! (2 birds with one stone)

9. Maybe your falling behind in school it then might be a good idea to catch up on some homework. Math, English... whatever floats your boat.

10. Lastly, if you feeling dirty from hiking all day and enjoying yourself without any electricity, a nice cold shower should do the trick.

Novel Synthesis

Slumdog Millionaire and "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost have a similar connection. They are related because in the poem it describes how someone takes one path and eventually on that particular path you will branch off onto other paths, making every path effect another. But more specifically its about the choices you make and how they effect your lifestyle. If you decide to go down one path or make a certain decision in life, wouldn't you want to go back and try making another decision or going down the other path just to see if what would happen and prove that "that has made all the difference". Ram had two paths to choose from, both looked identical but for some reason he felt like choosing the one from the other "Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same,"

In slumdog millionaire there are messages of both fate and personal choice. For Ram Mohammad Thomas making a decision is simply decided by the flip of coin. This coin is no ordinary coin it is double sided. Ram believes that "luck comes from within" and whatever choice you make, you have total control over it. It is such a coincidence that Ram is asked 12 questions which he knew because of his past experiences in life. He had no idea that he was going to be put in those situations throughout his life in order to answer those questions. This proves that it was an act of fate.

What If...

What if golf transformed into a totally different sport. What if there were 700 yard par six's. It would change things significantly in the world of golf. Children wouldn't even be able to play courses with such holes simply because their not physically strong enough to the hit the ball that far. Long ball hitters such John Daly, Sergio Garcia and Tiger Woods averaging at over 300 yards off the tee would have a great advantage over players with a 250 yard average.

Golf has come such a long way over the years. Back in the day when golf was first created women were not allowed to step foot on a golf course and neither were African Americans. New technologies have allowed us to hit the ball farther and definitely much more accurately. What if golf became an inside sport? Weather would no longer be a factor. It wouldn't matter if there were 50 km/h winds or it was snowing profusely like no other. You would always be at a perfect temperature to enjoy yourself completely. People would be able to golf anytime of the day, whether its 5 o'clock in the morning or 11 o'clock at night. It would be amazing.

Tiger Woods Review

Tiger Woods hands down is one of the greatest competitors the game of Golf has ever seen. Out of all PGA Tour athletes, Tiger is the most enjoyable and exciting to watch. Under pressure, he always comes through and performs for his fans. His impact on the game is astronomical. Fans literally jump out of their seat to greet him on the tee. One of his signature moves is his celebratory fist pump when he makes a long putt to win a championship. Tiger Woods (aka Eldrick Tont Woods) has won 90 professional events starting from 1996 when he became professional. In 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005 he received the "Green Jacket" from winning the Masters Championship title. This is defiantly not the only major championship he has won in his career, in 2000, 2002, 2008 he was the U.S. Open champion dominating his opponents. Tiger was also the PGA Tour money leader 8 times consecutively and a 7 time PGA Player Of The Year. Tiger Woods is on the verge of breaking records held by legends Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. At only 34 years old he has accomplished great achievements and I would imagine there is many more to come. Tiger Woods is an icon and will be for years to come.
